It was an absolute pleasure to visit RAF Valley in Anglesey earlier this week as part of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme (the “AFPS”). The AFPS is designed to give MPs an understanding of military life including the challenges faced and to help us make an informed contribution to debates and to policy formulation around Defence.
28 Sqn flew us by Chinook and we experience some tactical low level flying which was incredible. We also had a chance to experience flying a Hawk T2 simulator and tried out the latest innovations in virtual reality flying training. I have so much respect for our pilots!
