I have recently met with representatives from both Island Green Power and from the local community to discuss Green Hill Solar Farm.
I remain of the opinion that despite our pressing need for more renewable energy, of which a number of projects are being developed across South Northamptonshire, this development, which will surround Easton Maudit on three sides and cover acres of good quality land, is inappropriate. I have great concerns over the Battery Energy Storage (BESS), flooding, fire and potential pollution.
If you are not one of the c200 residents that have responded already, the consultation closes this Thursday 19th December but they will accept submissions until 10th January. It is absolutely vital that you submit your thoughts on this proposal via IGP’s public consultation (which you can find below) 👇
