Wonderful to drop into the Towcester Library Christmas Fayre yesterday. The singing by the Year 6 choir of Nicholas Hawksmoor school - their first outing of the season - was beautiful and really added to the festive feeling!
Was a pleasure to chat to all those running stalls and raising funds for charities. We picked up some delicious “Grandma’s recipe” cake from the ladies of the Bugbrooke Community Cafe, tried to guess the weight of the hamper to raise funds for the Royal Osteoporosis Society, purchased a lovely knitted Father Christmas from the wonderful fundraising ladies of New Life (the charity for disabled children) and tried out the tombola for the library itself.
Congratulations to Gillian and the Friends of Towcester Library for such a lovely event! Looking forward to seeing the next set of crochet inventions Gillian makes - look at the cute Reindeer that took about 6 hrs to make and there were lots of them dotted across the Library
