Earlier this week we debated the Water (Special Measures) Bill - it is right we are focusing on the water industry in light of the challenges particularly with Thames Water and Southern Water
We have an aging water system which combines rain and waste water. Spills linked to excessive rain to avoid flooding homes have always been part of the system. However, it is only thanks to previous Conservative governments that we have gone from monitoring 7% of storm overflows in 2010 to 100% now - allowing us to properly tackle this issue.
Labour should come clean on the context of this debate.
