As you may be aware, the Labour government has made changes to Winter Fuel Payments, meaning that the majority of pensioners will now lose access to this allowance. As your MP, I did not support this change. To receive a Winter Fuel Payment, you will now need to qualify via means testing in the form of Pension Credit.
You can check your eligibility for Pension Credit here: https://www.gov.uk/pension-credit-calculator, or by ringing the Pension Credit claim line on 0800 99 1234, open Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm.
You have until the 21st December 2024 to apply for Pension Credit, which is the last date possible to make a successful backdated claim in order to receive a Winter Fuel Payment.

- Or, over the phone by calling 0800 99 1234. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm.
- Or, by printing out this form: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pension-credit-claim-form--2 and sending to to: Freepost DWP Pensions Service 3 (please note that you do not need to use a stamp)
